APPOINTMENT INFORMATION

Lillian Ford, Office Manager

Your initial appointment with your therapist will be 45 minutes in length, or 60 minutes for our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). After your initial appointment, we will establish any necessary follow-up appointments and prescribed frequency of visits. This may involve setting up a "standing" appointment (same time and day of each week.) Follow-up appointments are also 45 minutes long (15-20 minutes for PMHNP).

If you cannot make it to your appointment or need to reschedule, you must call us with at least 24-hour advanced notice to avoid a Missed Appointment Fee or Late Cancellation Fee.

To CANCEL your appointment, please CALL our office at 208.344.2071, send an email to reception@tvpsychology.com, or text 601.324.4222 (text line only, do not call this number).  Do not send an email to your provider.  If it is outside of business hours, please leave a message and we will note the date/time of the call in consideration of your request to cancel or reschedule. Please listen carefully to our recorded instructions for leaving a message.

We request that if you have a communicable illness, please do not come to the office. As soon as you know you are ill, please call us to reschedule for a time after you are no longer contagious. This protects our providers and staff, as well as other patients, from possible illness.

We also ask that, if at all possible, you do NOT bring your small children with you to your appointment. If you are not able to make other childcare arrangements, please call us ahead of time to see if we can reschedule your appointment, or clear it with your provider for you to bring your child/children. Please keep in mind that your children will probably go into the session with you, as our staff are not childcare providers. Having your small children in session with you may cause distractions, or prevent open discussion with your provider, and thus be counter-productive to your treatment.

We do not allow pets in the office. Only certified service dogs will be allowed in the office.

The providers at Treasure Valley Psychology do not engage in legal matters with/on the behalf of their patients. However, if you become involved in legal proceedings for which provider participation is compelled by the court, you will be expected to pay for all of the provider’s professional time. This applies even if involvement is compelled by another party. Travel time, report and other preparation time, court testimony, wait time at the courthouse, depositions, consultations with attorneys, attendance at any legal proceeding, and any other legal involvement will be billed directly to you at a rate of $500/hr. A retainer of $2,000 will be required up front and prior to any provider time being spent on the case. These legal costs are nonrefundable, even in the event the actual testimony or deposition is cancelled, as such activities require extensive preparation regardless of final outcome.
