IN-OFFICE AND VIRTUAL/TELEHEALTH APPOINTMENTS
CONNIE KARCHER, LPC, LAMFT
Connie Karcher is a Licensed Professional Counselor and an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She earned her Master of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Northwest Nazarene University. She has advanced training in grief counseling, including certification from David Kessler, and in Perinatal mental health treatment through Postpartum Support International. Connie has nearly 20 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families in the Treasure Valley and across the United States through the Department of Defense’s adjunct program as a Military and Family Life Counselor.
Connie is dedicated to helping people navigate significant life transitions and the complex emotions that go with them, as well as those facing life’s most challenging circumstances. She believes therapy is most effective when clients feel understood, respected, and supported by a strong therapeutic alliance, and when they are actively involved in their own growth and problem-solving.
Her approach to therapy is integrative and client-centered, tailored to help each client find answers. In the process, they gain clarity, relief, and meaningful change. She collaborates with clients to see what is already working, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, process difficult experiences, and develop practical, lasting coping strategies.
Connie works with clients facing grief and loss, perinatal and postpartum issues, life transitions, relationship problems, and emotional regulation challenges, among many other concerns. A significant part of her practice is dedicated to supporting individuals and couples who have experienced the loss of a child. This profound and heartbreaking loss needs space for intense grief as well as potential healing. She respects each person’s experience without judgment or timelines and provides couples with a compassionate environment to process grief together while strengthening their bond.
Connie’s goal is not only to help clients find solutions and relief from symptoms but also to reconnect with their inner strengths, sense of meaning, and hope. She looks forward to supporting clients in this vital work.
She welcomes the opportunity to meet with you for a consultation to decide whether she is the right therapeutic fit for your needs.
